Technology you can trust

Our fundamental value is our relationships. The technology we put into your store should earn the confidence of the people who work there and the customers who shop there.

Electronic shelf labels make it easier to keep shelf prices connected to your store’s pricing system. How that technology is used matters just as much as how it works.

Our commitments

1. No surveillance pricing

We will not build or configure pricing that uses a shopper’s identity, browsing history, location history, or inferred willingness to pay to decide what that individual should be charged.

A store can still run a weekly special, mark down products nearing their sell-by date, or change a price for everyone. Those are store pricing decisions. Our commitment is to help retailers manage those decisions without profiling individual shoppers.

2. The retailer stays in control

We will agree with you on how prices are updated, who has access, and what any automation is allowed to do. We will not enable automated pricing decisions without your approval.

3. Clear prices and clear promotions

We will help you present prices, units, and promotion terms in a way customers can understand. During setup, we will check the workflow between your pricing system and shelf labels and show your team how to identify and address discrepancies.

4. Honest claims

We will explain what has been demonstrated, what is estimated, and what still needs to be confirmed for your store. We will not promise a return on investment, flawless updates, or compatibility we have not verified.

5. Respect for your staff

We will involve the people who use the system, provide practical training, and design the workflow around their day-to-day work. Your staff’s experience deserves a place in the decision.

6. Respect for your information

We will request only the access and information needed for the agreed work, explain why we need it, and discuss which service providers are involved. We will not sell the store information you entrust to us.

7. Costs you can understand

We will set out equipment, installation, integration, subscription, and support costs before you commit. We will identify assumptions and exclusions, and discuss changes to the agreed scope before proceeding.

8. Accountability after installation

We will make the support arrangements clear, follow through on the work we agree to do, and tell you plainly when a problem requires help from another provider. If we make a mistake, we will acknowledge it and work with you to put it right.

9. Relationships before the sale

We will listen, answer questions directly, and give you room to decide. If our system is not a good fit for your store, we will say so.

A commitment we can be held to

These are Cascade Smart Shelf’s commitments for the systems and services we provide. They describe how we will work with you. We will explain the responsibilities of your store and any third-party platforms as part of your project.
